We serve progressive desserts, which have very little to do with their traditional counterparts. We invite our guests to join us for a culinary journey that draws on gastronomic traditions from around the world. Seasonal, meticulously sourced ingredients are at the heart of everything we do here. Salty, savory, bitter, and umami flavors all appear in our desserts. Notes of sweetness are derived only from the natural sugars in fruits, vegetables, and other raw ingredients. Refined sugar, white flour, and industrially manufactured products have no place in our kitchen. With the exception of the occasional cheese, dairy products are rarely used. Our focus on ingredients of the highest quality extends to the glass—our kitchen team personally develops the recipes for each of the drink pairings.
Each of the courses on our tasting menus comes accompanied by a drink. Some of these mixed drinks contain alcohol, some do not. We view these drink pairings as extensions of both the dishes themselves and our overall culinary concept. The prices for our set menus are inclusive of these drinks. Wines and sakes from our extensive menu are designed to complement these dishes and may be ordered in addition.
Our wine and sake menu features more than 150 selections and serves as the perfect complement to our tasting menus and drink pairings. We focus on sake, sparkling wines from Germany and Champagne, as well as Rieslings from the Mosel Valley.
We only serve set menus. À la carte menus are not part of our culinary concept. Dinner is available from 6:30pm and consists of 7 courses and snacks, as well as drink pairings and pralines. Starting at 10:00pm, we offer a condensed version of our full tasting menu consisting of 4 courses and snacks, along with drink pairings and pralines. Our dishes are not suitable for sharing, as each is composed of carefully coordinated elements designed to be enjoyed as a whole.
Our set menus are designed to leave you satiated, not stuffed. Come hungry—we want you to be able to enjoy the full 7 courses.
Our 4-course menu is a lighter affair, one that could still be enjoyed after tapas or a small dinner elsewhere.
We take the safety of our guests seriously and ask that you provide detailed information about any food allergies in advance. Please be as specific as possible. For example, “nut allergy” is too broad, as we use a wide array of nuts, legumes, and stone fruits in our dishes. If you are allergic to coconut or soy, please let us know by phone. In this case, we will only be able to offer a limited number of dishes.
We’re able to offer a full vegetarian tasting menu without prior notice. Although a number of our dishes are free of milk, eggs, and other animal products, we cannot provide a full vegan tasting menu.
If a member of your party is pregnant, please let us know in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate. We cannot guarantee that all of our dishes contain less than 0.5% alcohol content. Most of our dishes are gluten-free.
Because our tasting menus require a great deal of advance preparation, we ask that you make a reservation online. We are rarely able to accommodate walk-ins. Credit cards are required to make a booking, but will not be charged in advance.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for reservation cancellations or postponements. Otherwise, we will charge a €100 cancelation fee per guest. If we’re able to find a suitable replacement booking, we’ll waive the cancelation fee. Reservations for 6 or more guests can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that reservations for groups of 6 or more are binding.
We offer seating both at tables and on the bar. Groups of 3 or more guests will always be seated at a table. If you’d like to reserve a specific spot in advance, just send us a message at email@example.com.
All of our menus prices are inclusive of drink pairings and taxes. On weekdays (with the exception of holidays), our tasting menu costs €155 per person, inclusive of 7 courses and snacks. Starting at 10:00pm, we offer a special 4-course tasting menu for €88, inclusive of 4 courses and snacks. On Fridays and Saturdays, the 7-course tasting menu with snacks is €165 per person and the 4-course tasting menu is €98 per person. Additional courses are from €19-25. Should you wish to purchase additional wine, water, digestifs, aperitif, or coffee, you are welcome to do so.
Both cash and card payments are welcome. We accept all major credit cards, with the exception of American Express.
Of course. When you order a gift certificate in our online shop, we’ll send it to you by mail. Please allow up to 7 days for processing. If you’d prefer not to wait, you’re welcome to stop by our restaurant to order and pick up in-person.
Each gift certificate is valid for up to 3 years. Since our menu changes constantly to reflect the seasons, we cannot guarantee any specific set menu. We can, however, promise that you or your guest will enjoy the full CODA experience whenever the gift certificate is redeemed.

The entrance to our restaurant is tucked away on Friedelstraße next to an apartment entrance. There’s no sign. Our neighborhood is very important to us and we’re grateful to be part of a diverse community where neighbors look out for one another. The culinary scene in our little corner of Neukölln continues to develop in exciting ways. We’re proud to be a part of it.
